Store bought picnic tables are chintzy and light. They only seat 4 people and are difficult to get in and out of. Sarah at domesticated-engineer.com has a great plan for a picnic table with Built-in Beer/Wine Coolers but it had no attached seating. Drean in instructables.com made a great 6 foot picnic table with attached seating that was easy to get in and out of. However his design lacked the beverage trays that I wanted.

Neither design came with the functionality that I wanted. Drean conveniently posted a Google Sketchup file with his design. Which gave me the ability to shift the design around a bit and create exactly what I wanted.
